Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Geographic Information Systems Analyst. As a Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for performing GIS analysis, managing data, and applying analytical skills. Your day-to-day tasks will involve working with GIS applications and conducting in-depth analysis using Geographic Information Systems. You will be responsible for interpreting data and providing insights based on spatial relationships. You will work with
imagery and geospatial data to create digital mapping products based on customer specifications.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Proficiency with GIS applications and GIS analysis
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in data management
- Ability to interpret spatial relationships
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with programming languages such as Python and SQL is a plus
- Experience working with Human Geography and Cultural Geography data is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Sciences, engineering or related field and 1-4 years experience
