Position: Intelligence Analyst

Description: The Intelligence Analyst generates intelligence from data and information derived from foreign signals. Intelligence analysts are the professionals whose research, analysis, and presentation of findings provide the most complete possible signals intelligence (SIGINT) picture.

Duties: Analysts will be supporting the National Geospatial Agency's (NGA) Analysis Directorate in providing timely, relevant, and accurate GEOINT analysis, data, and services to customers in support of the national security. Analysts may also support NGA's Source Operations Directorate in providing the ability to register and adjudicate GEOINT user's needs, develop strategies to acquire or produce all GEOINT sources, and manage/monitor the delivery of all GEOINT sources to those creating actionable intelligence.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years as an Apprentice, 3+ years as a Journeyman, 11+ years as a Senior, and 15+ years as an Expert as an intelligence analyst. ASPRS or related Certification desired.
  • Knowledge of and experience with ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcView, ArcIMS, ArcTools, the Integrated Exploitation Capability (IEC) system, SocetSet, TerraExplorer/Builder, RemoteView, ERDAS IMAGINE, MRSID, VB/VBA (or some other object oriented programming/scripting language), Oracle and other appropriate software to analyze geospatial data.
  • General Knowledge of NGA and the Intelligence Community demonstrated through on-site experience performing duties described above.
  • Strong communications skills and demonstrates a high level of pro-activeness.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of document analysis and experience with synthesizing large amounts of data.
  • Familiarity with analytic tools, soft copy exploitation functionalities, including multi-spectral exploitation.
  • Proficiency with software applications/databases used in support of research and analysis for the U.S. Government.
  • Specialized training and intelligence analysis experience and/or 3-4 years of military intelligence experience.
  • Knowledge of terrorism-associated issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high stress situations with diplomacy and a professional attitude.
